It gives me great pleasure to congratulate District Masters SK Jon Harvey,
SK Chris Randall, SK Jay Morris, and SK Jack Tracy III as they start their terms
along with SK David Ely Sr and SK Stanley Ciukaj on their reappointment. I
would also like to thank SK Glenn Camley, SK Kevin Donovan, SK Victor Silva,
and SK John Deetjen, Jr. on their service to the Order.
As we embark on the 125th year of the Patriotic Degree we have a mission
to shore up our districts for the next 125 years! Together we will celebrate
the 125th anniversary of Patriotic Degree on 22 February 2025 at St Patrick’s
Cathedral, transition to a new revised exemplification, and grow our
membership so that we can support our Holy Mother Church and honor
those who serve our Country.
As we meet for the 2024 Provincial Assembly in Kennebunkport, Maine one
thing will be clear; we must work together if we are to achieve our goal of
6% growth. Our Worthy Supreme Master outlined in his report to the 2023
Supreme Assembly that we must work to bring the 3rd degree and 4th
degree closer and reminds us that “We are not separate organizations, but
much like the Church different parts of the same body.” Growth in the 3rd
degree provides potential candidates for the 4th degree and an active 4th
degree provides visibility and generates interest to join the Order; the
relationship is mutually beneficial. I am humbled that all State Deputies
will be in attendance or represented at the Provincial Assembly. This will
be a great opportunity to reinforce the partnership between the 3rd degree
and 4th degree in support of our common mission of growth in the Order.
In closing, I wish you safe travels and I look forward to seeing you all later
this month at the Franciscan Monastery Retreat Center in Kennebunkport!”
